"I am confident that significant pressure was exerted on him": Saghatelyan on Anna Hakobyan being welcomed with flowers
regret it, I deeply regret it, because Manvel Paramazyan has fought against this government, and as a result of that fight, he was illegally detained and remained in prison for several months. What happened in Kajaran is unacceptable to me and, in a way, incomprehensible. This was stated today, July 11, during a meeting with journalists by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction and coordinator of the "Resistance" movement, regarding the recent incident of the mayor of Kajaran welcoming Anna Hakobyan with flowers. News.am reports.
"But you know, everyone decides their own course, their own actions, and provides explanations for what they have done and the consequences they bear. Frankly, I regret it, I regret it, because she was one of those people who came out to fight and was deprived of her freedom for that fight. What has changed, what has happened, I am not aware of the details. One thing is certain, we have said that it will not be easy, indeed, there will be people who will give in, who will make choices, but that will not affect the course of our movement in any way," said Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
He did not rule out that such cases could happen again but excluded the possibility that these incidents could have a significant impact on the "Resistance" movement. "Whoever wants to go, let them go, let's see how many people are left behind so that we also know where we are headed," said the opposition MP.
Ishkhan Saghatelyan stated that he is confident that significant pressure has been exerted on Paramazyan: "Otherwise, he would not behave this way."
