Hunting of a Bird Listed in the Red Book

Realizing operational data received at the Ararat Regional Administration of the Police, officers from the Ararat division apprehended a 31-year-old man on July 10 at 20:50 near the reserve area of the village of Pokr Vedi. He possessed a double-barreled smoothbore hunting rifle of type "TOZ 34" with 8 cartridges — 2 of which were fired and 6 were in loaded condition.

The police reported that it was established that around 20:00 he had hunted a chukar partridge, a bird listed in the Red Book. The 31-year-old man has been presented to the investigative body.
