Azerbaijani Forces Positioned Near Yelpin During Davtyan's Command: Edik Baghdasaryan

Investigative journalist Edik Baghdasaryan commented on the border incident that occurred yesterday, stating:

“In the area from which shots were fired towards the Yelpin village, Azerbaijani forces positioned themselves in May 2018. At that time, our corps commander was Artak Davtyan. The Azerbaijanis advanced their positions into the neutral zone, and a vast area has come under their control. The section of the interstate road connecting Areni and Yelpin villages has come directly under fire. A few days later, Nikol Pashinyan appointed Artak Davtyan as the Chief of Staff.”

It is worth mentioning that yesterday at around 16:15, the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire with large-caliber weaponry towards the Yelpin village in Vayots Dzor, resulting in damage to a civilian vehicle.
