Will Remote Learning Be Banned in Russia? A Bill Has Been Introduced
The parliamentary faction of 'Just Russia – Patriots for Truth' has submitted a bill to the State Duma to ban remote education for schoolchildren and students, expressing the belief that it is impossible to impart the necessary volume of knowledge through remote learning.
According to the faction, remote education should only be used in emergency situations. 'Many teachers are expressing concern that quality knowledge cannot be transferred through remote learning. Moreover, it is harmful to children's health. Only traditional methods of teaching are acceptable, where knowledge is passed from the teacher to the student in the classroom. There can be no alternative to this,' stated the faction leader Sergey Mironov.
