«What Nikol Pashinyan Tried to Achieve for a Year, Takhouhi Tovmasyan Accomplished» - «Hraparak»
«Hraparak» newspaper writes: A deep rift has emerged between the two opposition factions in the National Assembly. The cause is the refusal of Takhouhi Tovmasyan, a member of the “Honorary” faction, to resign from the position of committee chair. The 'Armenia' alliance is more than convinced that she has received the 'approval' of the Republican Party and Serzh Sargsyan. Otherwise, she would either announce her resignation from the presidency of the Human Rights Committee or she would have been stripped of her faction membership and automatically her position.
Our sources within the Republican Party assure that this issue hasn’t been discussed within the party, however, from the interviews and responses of the Republicans, one can conclude that the matter is settled. Essentially, what Nikol Pashinyan sought to do for a year—divide the parliamentary opposition—was accomplished by Takhouhi Tovmasyan with her actions.
