"It Must Start Now": Guterres

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has stated that the process of rebuilding Ukraine will take a long time, but it must start right now.

"We are laying the groundwork for the reconstruction and recovery of critical infrastructure. It is a long road, but it must begin now," Guterres said.

He added that the UN, along with international partners, is providing assistance to nearly 9 million people in Ukraine.

"We are also working with the Ukrainian government to combat the threats posed by unexploded ordnance, mines, and cluster munitions," he stated.
