Russia to Lift Border Crossing Restrictions

As of July 15, Russia will lift all restrictions on entry into the Russian Federation via land borders, imposed in March 2020 due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This information was reported by the operational headquarters for combating the coronavirus infection. The announcement was made by the Russian service of DW.

However, the easing does not yet apply to restrictions on exiting Russia through land borders. It is noted that further announcements will be made if such decisions are taken.

It is worth mentioning that as of June 14, restrictions on the entry of foreign nationals arriving by air or through sea checkpoints to Russia have been lifted. Meanwhile, restrictions on entry by land transport remain in place.
