The Azerbaijani wrestler who lost to Hayk Papikyan stepped down from the podium during the Armenian national anthem. This information was reported by the Wrestling Federation.

"The Armenian Wrestling Federation filed an official complaint to the International Wrestling Federation on-site, and the wrestler was disqualified and removed. A new award ceremony took place," the message stated.

It is worth noting that at the M20 European Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling held in Rome, Hayk Papikyan won against Azerbaijani Sabir Jafarov in the decisive match in the 70 kg weight category and was declared the European champion.
