Video: Aftermath of Explosions in Belgorod Released

The governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has reported that three people have died as a result of the explosions in the city, with four others injured. Eleven apartment buildings and at least 39 private homes have been damaged.

Two of the victims have been hospitalized, including a ten-year-old child and a man. The man is in serious condition, while the child's condition has not been disclosed.

Initially, 50 homes were reported to have sustained damage, with five private houses completely destroyed. “Today, contractors will carry out all necessary assessments and begin recovery efforts,” Governor Gladkov stated on Telegram.

The governor did not specify the causes of the explosions in the city. Earlier that night, he had reported a “series of loud noises” and suggested it may have been related to the operation of the air defense system.

Photos and videos have circulated on social media and local news outlets showing explosions in the sky and on the ground, several damaged homes in different areas of the city, and fires.
