The Turkish Foreign Ministry has announced the opening of the land border between Turkey and Armenia for citizens of third countries visiting the two nations, as well as the commencement of direct air freight transport. This information was reported by Anadolu.

The ministry issued a statement regarding the meeting between special representatives for the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia - Turkish diplomat Serdar Kılıç and Armenian Parliament Vice-Speaker Ruben Rubinyan. It was noted that Kılıç and Rubinyan held their fourth meeting on July 1 in Vienna.

The parties agreed that the land border between Turkey and Armenia should be opened as soon as possible for citizens of third countries visiting both countries. Furthermore, the statement mentioned that the parties agreed to begin direct air freight transport between Turkey and Armenia as soon as possible and decided to initiate the necessary processes to achieve this goal.

Additionally, it was stated that other potential concrete steps that could be taken to ensure the 'full normalization' of relations between the two countries were also discussed, which is the ultimate goal of the negotiations. Both sides emphasized their agreement to continue the normalization process without any preconditions.
