Russia Lifts Restrictions: Under What Circumstances Will Some Be Maintained?
Against the backdrop of improving epidemiological conditions in Russia, restrictions previously imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic are being lifted, notably the mask mandate. This was reported by "Rospotrebnadzor."
In connection with the ongoing decrease in the intensity of the epidemiological process, "Rospotrebnadzor" is suspending previously imposed restrictions, including the mask regime, as well as prohibitions on public catering during nighttime and a number of other events, the agency's press service stated.
Thus, the mandatory wearing of masks, the ban on mass events, and restrictions in public catering venues that were previously introduced by "Rospotrebnadzor" head Anna Popova are being canceled.
At the same time, the agency emphasized that if the situation with COVID-19 worsens, restrictive measures may be reinstated. Anti-epidemic measures for timely detection of infected individuals and measures ensuring the monitoring of the epidemiological process will also remain in place, reported "Interfax."
