The former mayor of Yerevan, actor Hayk Marutyan, stated on his Facebook page:

"... a number of other 'impartial' media outlets have been spreading this material all day long. To save time, there’s no point in reading the long text; its only purpose, of course, is the catchy headline. Well, the motive is understood even by our citizens who don't engage in politics: the political force that prematurely declared its mayoral candidate is 'preparing' the public for the elections. Guys, why not girls too, I have not decided whether to participate in the next elections of Yerevan at this moment; you can take a deep breath and be calm.

PS: It is noteworthy that the Anti-Corruption Committee was searching for embezzlements in the city hall from 2018 to 2021. Apparently, nothing happened before or after that."
