Emergency Incident on Baghramyan Avenue: Opel Collides with Patrol Car Pursuing BMW
Today, on July 1st, an accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 02:20, on Baghramyan Avenue, in front of the 'SAS' supermarket, a collision took place between a Skoda vehicle operated by patrol officer Khachik Hanneyan, belonging to the 2nd platoon of the 1st battalion of the Patrol Service of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, and an Opel driven by Hamlet Parizyan.
According to Shamshyan.com, preliminary reports indicate that fortunately, there were no injuries resulting from the accident. Both drivers underwent sobriety tests, with the driver of the Opel found to be intoxicated.
Preliminary information suggests that Officer Kh. Hanneyan, while on duty with his colleague Gor Petrosyan on Baghramyan Avenue, observed a BMW vehicle maliciously violating traffic rules, performing drifts. The patrol officer activated the blue lights and sirens to pursue the BMW's reckless driver, which led the Opel to veer into oncoming traffic and collide with the patrol Skoda.
