Another Theft: The Bronze Bust of Poetess Shushanik Kurghinyan's Grave Stolen

Yesterday, during another visit to the Komitas Park, I was shocked and astonished as I approached the grave of poetess Shushanik Kurghinyan, located in the central area of the park. The bronze bust of her gravestone was missing. This marks yet another theft.

Journalist Artyush Khanzhyan reported this incident: “I regularly follow the news (especially regarding monuments), but what I saw was a surprise to me. I’m not sure if this theft has occurred in the past year or if there have been publications on the matter. Over the past thirty years, so much has been written and spoken about these issues that I can't add anything new... Just one word: ‘impunity’. Those who steal and the accomplices who accept the sculptures as scrap metal must be severely punished,” the journalist wrote.

“The owner has taken the owner, taken it to the wilderness,” added the reporter.
