29-Year-Old Man Hospitalized in Stabbed Condition

On June 29, at 11:50 PM, the police department of Kumayri received a report from the "Gyumri" medical center regarding a 29-year-old male who sought medical assistance with a penetrating stab wound to the left side of the chest.

An operational team was dispatched to the hospital. According to the medical report, the young man was unable to provide an explanation.

Through a series of investigative measures conducted by officers from the Shirak regional department of police and detectives from the Kumayri division, it was determined that at approximately 11:30 PM on June 29, during a dispute near one of the buildings on Gorky Street in Gyumri, the young man was stabbed by a 49-year-old man residing on the same street.

On June 30 at 7:50 PM, the suspect was located and taken into custody at the Kumayri division, where he confessed to the act. The knife used in the attack was also discovered.

The 49-year-old man has been arrested. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (Intentional Causing of Severe Harm to Health). An investigation is underway.
