United Kingdom Allocates Funds to Azerbaijan for Mine Clearance Operations

The United Kingdom has allocated £500,000 to Azerbaijan to support mine clearance efforts in liberated territories, as stated in a press release from the UK Embassy in Baku.

The document notes that the UK is working towards making the region a safer place for people and ensuring stability, with an additional £500,000 provided to assist mine clearance operations in the area.

This was also mentioned in a tweet by the UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan, James Sharp. “We continue to work together for peace in the region. The UK Foreign Office has announced additional funding of £500,000 for mine clearance operations in the area. I believe these funds will help the Azerbaijan Mine Clearance Agency reduce risks to the civilian population, enabling people to build their lives in the liberated territories,” said the diplomat in the post.
