50-Year-Old Inmate on Hunger Strike Dies
On June 28, a 50-year-old inmate, Armen M., passed away in the intensive care unit of Armenia Medical Center. According to shamshyan.com, he had been transferred from the Ministry of Justice's Sevan Penitentiary and was on a hunger strike.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident at the Mashtots Division of the Police.
