Rockfall in Tavush Province: Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports

On June 29, at 08:06, the Tavush regional crisis management center received information regarding a rockfall on the Movses-Norashen highway. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A firefighting and rescue team from the special facilities protection unit of the civil defense department was dispatched from the Movses base to the scene.

It was determined that a rockfall occurred about 3 km from the Movses-Norashen highway, causing the section of the road to be completely closed in both directions. Rescuers cleared the rocks from the passable part of the highway, and traffic has been restored.
