Lucky to Have Been Heard: Missing 8-Year-Old Found in Sewer After Nearly 10 Days

In Germany, an 8-year-old boy missing for a week has been found alive. This information was reported by The Sun. The boy, named Joe, disappeared on June 17, 2022, in Oldenburg. During the week that followed, his parents and rescuers conducted extensive searches but were unable to locate the child.

On the morning of June 25, a local resident alerted the police, reporting that a faint sound was coming from the storm drain. Rescuers who arrived at the scene discovered the missing boy there. “I didn’t know it was John. He looked alive and unharmed. I can’t believe he was there and alive. He is very lucky that he was heard; there are many cars passing by here, and the noise level is quite high,” recounted a witness to the event.

After retrieving the child from the sewer, he was transported to a local hospital. To the surprise of doctors, no injuries were found on the boy, and his life and health are not in danger. Currently, authorities are investigating how the child managed to enter the sewer and survived.
