I Am a Bone Stuck in Nikol's Throat: Vahe Hakobyan Comments on His Dismissal Process
Vahe Hakobyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction and chairman of the permanent commission on economic issues, commented on the process initiated by the ruling faction for his dismissal in an interview with NEWS.am. He stated that even if the government removes him from the chairman position, it cannot stop his fight against them.
“This is just the decision of the 'Civil Contract' faction; once it becomes official, I will make a statement. In any case, the decision of the CP is meaningless to me because CP and its leader are nothing to me. This is a concrete decision made against me personally because I have always expressed strong criticism towards this government, and I am a bone stuck in Nikol’s throat,” Hakobyan noted.
According to him, if his dismissal happens, the ruling faction will not ignore the Don’t Vote Resolution. “Babken Tunyan, as the informant of the president, will conduct the meetings, and they will not elect anyone to the president’s position. They are doing much worse things that they used to accuse the previous ones of. They want to stay on the field only themselves; I wish them a good march,” Hakobyan added.
It should be noted that on June 28, the ruling faction 'Civil Contract' decided to initiate the process of dismissing the Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, and Vahe Hakobyan, the chairman of the permanent commission on economic issues.
