Gunshots in Yerevan: 9 Fired Shells Discovered
On June 29, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, at around 07:30, a report was received from an unknown citizen who stated that shots were being fired near the park of Building 11 in the Banavan district, and according to the caller, it was possible that the shots were aimed at dogs.
The head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police, Hovhannes Aristakessian, and the head of the Nor Nork Police Department, Igor Mesropyan, arrived at the scene. It was determined that a 43-year-old resident of the Jrvezh district, Edgar M., had fired rounds with a firearm near the park of Building 11 in Banavan at around 06:30 on that same day. The police discovered 9 fired shells at the scene.
Edgar M., suspected of hooliganism, has been taken into custody at the Nor Nork Police Department. The firearm has been recovered.
