In Effect, No Families Live in Lachin: Pashinyan

In case of a change in the route, areas not located within the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast (NKAO) boundary will come under Azerbaijani control. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an online press conference.

"There are villages mentioned in this context; I am not sure that this refers to all those residential areas," he said.

According to Pashinyan, essentially, no families currently reside in Lachin, and the issues of the residents of the village of Aghavno will be resolved through the means of the Artsakh government.

"At this moment, I cannot say anything definitive about Sus; the problem is whether those areas are within the NKAO boundaries or outside. In any case, when we discussed this issue with the authorities of Artsakh, the name of the village of Sus was not brought up," he added.
