What Did Stoltenberg and Erdogan Discuss?
The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has announced that he discussed the membership applications of Finland and Sweden with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
As reported by RIA Novosti, Stoltenberg mentioned in a statement released on his official Twitter account that the issue was discussed with Erdogan via a phone call. He informed that they agreed to continue discussions next week in Brussels and Madrid.
Finland and Sweden submitted their applications for NATO membership on May 18th.
