Police Discover ‘Robinson’ with Large Quantity of Drugs in His Vehicle
On June 25, police officers from the Patrol Service of the Shirak Province discovered a particularly large quantity of narcotics during their service in the Shirak region.
According to shamshyan.com, patrol officers Levon Movsesyan and Gevorg Siminyan were performing their duties when they stopped a Ford Transit vehicle for inspection near the 5th km on the Gyumri-Vanadzor highway, close to Shirak village.
During a search of the vehicle's front cabin, the officers noticed suspicious bags and, in the presence of the driver, opened them to find plants packaged in a polyethylene bag that resembled greenery.
The police detained the driver and the passenger and brought them to the police station in Akhuryan. According to available information, the driver is a 32-year-old resident of Yerevan named Garik A., and the passenger is a 28-year-old resident of Yerevan named Narek S.
The inspection of the cabin revealed approximately 14 kg of substance resembling cannabis, which was seized along with the vehicle, now kept in a secure area of the Akhuryan police station.
Garik A. and Narek S. were released after questioning. Information indicates that Garik A. is known by the nickname ‘Robinson’ among his acquaintances.
