380 Calls During Yesterday's Wind Intensification: Minister Discusses Caused Damages

On June 23, from 9:40 AM to 8:30 PM, Yerevan experienced wind intensification (with speeds up to 17 m/s, from the northwest) and heavy rain. This information was provided by the Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan.

It was reported that the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 380 calls regarding 57 incidents during the time frame from 7:40 PM to 10:00 PM, concerning damaged roofs of buildings, broken structural components, damaged vehicles, fallen and broken trees, downed electric wires, and power outages in Yerevan.

The rescue service units addressed 22 incidents, including 7 cases of broken/fallen trees (damaging 4 vehicles and 1 electric wire), 6 cases of torn/hanging roofs (damaging 3 vehicles, 1 electric wire, 1 gas pipe, 1 house roof, and 1 house wall), 2 cases of detached sheets, 1 case of broken window (damaging 1 vehicle), 1 case of leaning electric pole, 1 case of torn wires (damaging 1 house roof), and 4 cases of water accumulation.

The remaining calls were forwarded to the relevant services. As a result of the damages caused by the strong wind, there were no casualties or injuries.
