Remains of Bezoar Goat Found Again: What Penalty is Imposed for Hunting the Animal
On June 22, 2022, remains of a bezoar goat were discovered in the territory of the "Khosrov Forest" State Reserve. This information was reported by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia on its Facebook page.
To determine the causes of the animal's death, the information has been forwarded to the Ararat Territorial Division of the Inspection Body of the Ministry of Environment and to the Ararat Division of the Regional Police of Armenia. Additional information will be provided about the progress of the investigation.
The ministry reminds that in case of hunting and/or destruction of a bezoar goat, the compensation rate for damage caused to wildlife is set at 3 million AMD for each individual, regardless of age.
