Quarterly Reserve Training Gatherings to Be Held in Armenia: Timelines Announced
From August 1 to October 30, 2022, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia will conduct training gatherings for reserve forces lasting three months.
The decision proposed by the Ministry of Defense was approved at today's government meeting. According to this decision, up to 1,444 citizens will participate in the training gatherings, of which 1,249 will be from the ranks of ordinary and junior officers, 65 from senior officer ranks, and 130 from officer reserves in specialties such as motorized infantry, communications, reconnaissance, engineering, and artillery.
To ensure the conduct of the exercises, up to 134 transportation vehicles will be engaged from agencies responsible for the Defense Transportation obligations of the Republic of Armenia. The decision was adopted without reporting or discussion in the session.
However, the project published on the official government website states that the necessity of its adoption is dictated by the need to strengthen the combat duty of the armed forces and to involve mobilization human resources and transportation means in training gatherings and combat duty.
