Political consultations have taken place in Paris between the foreign ministries of France and Azerbaijan, according to Azerbaijani media reports.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, while the French side was represented by Frédéric Mondolon, Director of the Continental Europe Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the negotiations, the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, cooperation in economic and humanitarian fields, regional issues, and Azerbaijan's relations with European countries and the European Union were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on the prevailing situation in the region, the implementation of trilateral statements, and issues related to the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the context of post-conflict tensions.
Furthermore, there was a discussion regarding international and regional issues, as well as the opportunities for French companies to participate in the development of new transport and logistics infrastructure arising from the 'peace processes' in the South Caucasus.
