City Hall's Response to the Viral Video: What Fine Has Been Imposed

The head of the press service of the Yerevan City Hall, Levon Sardarayan, made a post on his Facebook page, stating:

“In connection with the widely circulated video (showing garbage being dumped into the canal), I would like to inform that the address has been identified and a report has been prepared regarding administrative violations under point 1 of the first part of Article 43 of the RA Code of Administrative Offenses. A fine of 20,000 AMD has been imposed.

I would also like to remind that, initiated by the Mayor of Yerevan, a legislative initiative is being developed, according to which fines for dumping waste in unauthorized places will be increased tenfold,” Sardarayan wrote.

It should be noted that a video circulating online shows a woman throwing cardboard boxes and trash into the river.
