Police in Aparan Monitor to Prevent Retaliation

The gunshots heard in Aparan on June 19 have raised serious concerns within the law enforcement system. In particular, authorities have imposed strict monitoring in the city of Aparan and the surrounding region to maintain control over the situation. This is reported by the 'Joghourd' newspaper.

According to information received by the newspaper, a decision has been made to establish police supervision near the residences of both the deceased from the gunfire and other participants in the incident, in order to prevent possible acts of revenge. 'Law enforcement is concerned about a potential vendetta and has taken specific measures to stabilize the situation,' the newspaper writes.

It should be noted that as a result of a dispute near Nigavan on June 19, two 27-year-old residents of Aparan were transported to the medical center with gunshot wounds, where they later died. Five individuals were admitted to medical facilities, one of whom is also in critical condition. A 32-year-old man suspected of murder has been arrested.

Additionally, certain details about the incident have emerged with Sputnik Armenia. Tigran Harutyunyan, who was injured and later died at Astghik Medical Center, is a relative of the mayor of Aparan, Karen Yeghiazaryan. The 28-year-old Tigran was employed at the 'Gntunik' supermarket.
