Interview with Ukraine's First Lady Sparks Conversations
Barbed wire, sandbags, and sniper positions at the presidential complex create a dramatic backdrop for a photoshoot. Nevertheless, Ukraine’s First Lady Elena Zelenska granted an interview to The Economist, appearing in an electric blue outfit and high heels. A broad section of the public has begun to discuss the First Lady’s image. Some argued that such a practical look was more suitable for the presidential office than for the areas adjacent to destroyed buildings.
In the interview, Elena Zelenska spoke about her fears. The First Lady revealed that their nine-year-old son, Kiril, now dreams of becoming a soldier. "What frightens me most is that he tells everyone he wants to be a soldier," Zelenska confessed. She also expressed hope that by the time her son turns 18, Ukraine and its people will live in a free and peaceful country.
