Will the Ministry of Justice Initiate Proceedings Against Jhangiryan? Minasyan Responds
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia does not have the authority to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Gagik Jhangiryan. Only three members of the Supreme Judicial Council can initiate such proceedings against a member of the Council in accordance with the law. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan during a conversation with journalists, addressing questions about the controversial recording released by Vardazaryan yesterday.
As previously reported, Ruben Vardazaryan revealed a sensational recording at a press conference yesterday, which suggests that he was offered to resign on behalf of the Prime Minister, while Jhangiryan took on the role of a mediator, assuring that no prosecutions would take place against Vardazaryan if he submitted his resignation.
