Video: The Incident in Parukh Was a Blow Not Only to Artsakh but Also to Russian Peacekeepers, Babayan
The incident in Parukh was a blow not only to Artsakh but also to Russian peacekeepers. This incident was an act of terrorism, striking both us and the peacekeeping mission, said David Babayan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, during a meeting with journalists at the permanent representation of the Republic of Artsakh in the Republic of Armenia. He emphasized that no matter when or where it occurs, terrorism should not go unanswered.
"The fate of Artsakh is in danger. If we lose Artsakh, there will be no Armenia. We have the absolute opportunity to have normal relations with everyone because we have the Diaspora. In the face of Azerbaijan, there is a country where anti-Armenianism and terrorism are state policies, and this has been witnessed by the Russian peacekeepers, who have also become targets," he said.
David Babayan also stressed that he cannot imagine any leader of the Republic of Armenia thinking of or taking steps for Armenia to be part of Azerbaijan. "We have no future as part of Azerbaijan. We are currently a de facto independent country, and to think that we could be part of Azerbaijan is unacceptable," Babayan emphasized. He also pointed out that while Azerbaijan hates Armenians, there is much to learn from them, as they approaches their issues with persistence and organization.
