Do Not Put Yourself in the Place of a Man: Hovik Aghazaryan on the Recording of Vardazaryan and Jhangiryan

“No one should take it upon themselves to protect the rights of Pashinyan,” stated Hovik Aghazaryan, a deputy from the Civil Contract faction, in an interview with 24News. He was commenting on the conflict and fatalities that occurred in Aparan.

According to him, it should be clarified whether the dispute in Aparan was politically motivated. “I see no political reasons; these are young people from different teams who perhaps have not shared something with each other. We should not rush to make assessments,” he said.

Regarding the recording published by suspended President of the Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan, in which acting President Gagik Jhangiryan suggests that he resign from his position, the deputy noted: “It is unacceptable; a conversation between two men should not be made public. Vardazaryan should not succumb to anyone’s blackmail. If he publicizes such a conversation, then he wants to justify his position. He is very afraid of other people, including Robert Kocharyan. He should not put himself in the place of a man. No one is afraid of Pashinyan; they know that at most they will sit for two years or give back a portion of what was stolen. They are afraid of Kocharyan; they know his handwriting.”
