Boris Johnson Undergoes Surgery Today

The British BBC reports that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has undergone a "minor routine surgery related to his nasal sinuses."

The surgery was performed under general anesthesia at a hospital in London at 6:00 AM, with Johnson returning to Downing Street by 10:00 AM.

A spokesperson for Downing Street stated that Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab will make any urgent decisions in Johnson's stead. Meanwhile, it has been noted that Johnson is feeling well.

Johnson is expected to lead a meeting of his senior ministers on Tuesday morning and will depart for the leaders' summit later this week.
