What Will the Park Dedicated to Fallen Heroes Be Like
The design work for the "Life Park" dedicated to the heroes who fell during the Artsakh Liberation War has been completed in the Yerevan Botanical Garden. After obtaining expert opinions in 2-3 weeks, a competition for construction work will be announced, said Arayik Harutyunyan, head of the Prime Minister's Office, during the latest government meeting.
According to him, a new irrigation system will be built in the park, along with several kilometers of new piping. "The construction will last for 3 years and will cost 4.2 billion drams," he said.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the government's logic is that this should be a place where families can go, spend time, and it should emphasize the idea of life rather than death. "During this time, I have also met several times with the parents of our fallen heroes. Architecture and urban planning should be such that people do not find it inconvenient to take their children for walks for various reasons; rather, it should be designed in a way that honors the memory of our martyrs and makes people not shy away from taking their children there. Our martyrs fell so that Armenia may live, and Artsakh may live," the Prime Minister added.
