Moscow Supports Armenia in Regional Security Assurance Processes: Patrushev

The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, met with his Russian counterpart, Nikolai Patrushev, on June 16 in Yerevan. Patrushev arrived to participate in the regular meeting of the CSTO Security Council Secretaries.

“During the meeting, I expressed confidence that there are all necessary opportunities and prerequisites to expand the framework of cooperation between the security councils of the two countries. We discussed a wide range of security-related issues within the context of our bilateral cooperation,” Grigoryan stated.

Nikolai Patrushev emphasized that Armenia is a strategically important partner state for Russia and that Moscow supports Armenia in the processes of ensuring regional security.

“I presented to my Russian counterpart the regional security situation, the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation, the progress of the work of the delimitation and demarcation commissions, as well as the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Turkey,” Grigoryan noted on his Facebook page.
