Lavrov: The West's Eyes Do Not Interest Me at All

During the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov gave an interview to BBC correspondent Steve Rosenberg in Moscow. He responded to questions regarding British prisoners sentenced to death in the self-proclaimed DPR and suggested that the UN's reports on alleged crimes by Russian soldiers in Ukraine are based on "falsifications."

“The West's eyes do not interest me at all; in the West's eyes, Russia is responsible for the fate of these people,” stated BBC correspondent Steve Rosenberg.

In the interview with BBC, Lavrov claimed that they did not invade Ukraine. “We did not invade Ukraine. We started a military special operation because we had no other way to explain to the West that involving Ukraine in NATO is a criminal activity,” Lavrov said.
