Talking About Money, Nikol Pashinyan Tries to Drive a Deeper Wedge Between Artsakh and Armenia: David Galstyan
Nikol Pashinyan has led Artsakh into an unprecedented difficult social and security situation. This was stated by David Galstyan, the leader of the Justice faction in the Artsakh National Assembly, in an interview with NEWS.am, referencing Pashinyan's statement in the National Assembly that the budget of Artsakh has increased due to financial support from the Armenian government over the last two years. According to Pashinyan, this justifies that Armenia has not 'washed its hands' of Artsakh.
“That childish person should first ask himself why Artsakh is in such need of social programs today, to then take that money and wave it like a flag over the whole Armenian nation, saying, 'Look, I am providing unprecedented assistance to Artsakh.' That money is not the inheritance of Nikol Pashinyan’s father; it is money generated from the taxes of the Armenian people. Nikol Pashinyan is talking about money; he is trying to drive a deeper wedge between Artsakh and Armenia,” said David Galstyan to the media.
He noted that Nikol Pashinyan cannot guarantee the security of Artsakh: “If he conditions the security of Artsakh on his signature, then even Pashinyan himself does not trust his own signature, so how can the people of Artsakh trust a peace document?”
