The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered "painful losses" in military operations over the past day. He stated this in a video address published on his official Telegram channel.

“The most brutal battles continue to take place, particularly in Sievierodonetsk and in all nearby towns and communities. Unfortunately, there are losses, and they are painful,” Zelensky said.

He also added that Ukrainian troops have faced losses in the Kharkiv region as well.

Earlier, Zelensky had reported that Russia continues to terrorize Ukrainians with missile strikes and has pushed the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the center of Sievierodonetsk.
