The Owner of the Company is Not Alen Simonyan's Brother, He is Just the Director - Sanosyan
A competition has been announced, in which about 8 companies participated, and the one that made the lowest bid has won. This was stated by Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan during a briefing with reporters, addressing the victory of the company managed by the brother of the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, in a 1.5 billion dram asphalt paving tender.
“According to the legislation of our country, whoever provides the lowest price wins. Is there a problem here? I don’t think so. The 1.5 billion dram tender was won at 1 billion dram, which means that Alen Simonyan's brother's company reduced its bid by 493 million drams. You can go and check how much the tender was announced for and how much it was won, and go and thank that company,” said Gnel Sanosyan.
Moreover, the owner of that company is not Alen Simonyan's brother, he is just the director. The owner of the company recently met with the Prime Minister in the Ararat region, and taking this opportunity, I want to thank him. Having businesses abroad, this person returned to Armenia after the revolution and made significant investments here,” Sanosyan stated.
It should be recalled that earlier, civilnet.am reported that “Euroasphalt” won by presenting a bid just 500,000 drams less. In other words, among the six participants, “Euroasphalt” won with a price reduction of only 0.05 percent.
