Holiday Bonuses Distributed by Haypost in June

Holiday Bonuses Distributed by Haypost in June

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that over 2,750 employees of "Haypost" are receiving their 13th salary during this period. This means that the 13th salary, typically received at the end of the year in December, is being paid out in June.

Georgy Abrahamyan, the press secretary of Haypost, confirmed this news, noting that it is not actually a 13th salary but rather a holiday bonus.

"Why is the holiday bonus given in June?" he stated. "This is the amount allocated for annual work as a bonus-reward. For instance, I haven't received it yet. Previously, we used to receive half a salary at the New Year; this year, it was decided to encourage people in this manner."

Asked about the reasoning for deciding to reward employees six months early or late, he replied, "There's no particular occasion. Imagine, you work well and are decided to be rewarded, while another journalist who did not perform as well gets less reward than you."

When questioned if the holiday bonuses are being given to prevent employees from joining protests or voicing complaints, he responded, "This has been a planned budget item for a long time; it was decided before the New Year, and we are not connected to protests. There is no need to politicize anything."

"How many employees have been rewarded?" he said, "I can't say. No one has received anything yet; we are waiting, and we will receive it in the next couple of days. I don’t even know how much I will get. Again, I emphasize, this is something that was planned a year ago. Last year, we didn’t receive anything at all. These are expenditures funded by the state budget."
