A New Day of Struggle Follows June 14: Manukyan Presents Opposition Plans
On June 14, following the rally at France Square, June 15, 16, 17, and 18 will be even more critical days. Can we demonstrate and prove that our strength has not diminished? If so, WE WILL WIN. This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenian Parliament from the “Hayastan” faction, on Facebook.
“A NEW DAY OF STRUGGLE WILL FOLLOW JUNE 14... In a few hours, France Square will once again be packed. The rally of the Resistance Movement has been announced again. Expectations are different today for various reasons. They are waiting for announcements about a newly declared strategy and actions. Methods and actions may be refined, but the struggle itself has not stopped and will not stop. Every day I meet in our homes or at France Square begins with the thought of struggle. I have a debt; I have a mission to carry our initiated struggle through to the end. Each of us has that mission. During these 40 days and more, witnessing the determination of my compatriots at the rallies, disobedience actions, I am confident that for them too, the struggle has one ultimate goal - Victory.
Although I have a strong desire to write a lot, I understand that it won't even be read in haste. I will just make a few notes.
• During our struggle in the past 40 days, we have not retreated; we have moved forward resolutely and firmly.
• Today’s square is called France, but tomorrow we will be in another square, the day after in another. During these days, we have shown that any square is open to us. After all, how many times have I heard proposals from many, even in Republic Square, with tens of thousands of our compatriots present, insisting we remain here.
• During these 40 days of struggle, we have not had closed spaces or locations. We have decided and we have acted. We have stood, we have blocked, we have fought.
• June 14 has one feature - it is a day of patience. This government is treacherous, cowardly, serving the enemy's interests, and behaves just like an enemy. Let us not allow the enemy to sow doubt among us.
• The most important thing on June 14 is to consciously recognize, like in all previous days, that the struggle belongs to all of us; it is common, and is a united fight, not open for discussion. During all these days, it has been more pleasant to be among the ranks, not to walk among the first. I have often not been on stages, and without a loudspeaker, I have chanted with my hands because I am one of our tens of thousands of compatriots. I will act like this tomorrow and the day after. I expect the same from each and every one of you. Because we are soldiers of the Resistance Movement - we have fought equally, walked equally, been beaten equally, suffered equally, and we will win equally and united.
• June 14 is followed by June 15, 16, 17, 18... these days are even more important. Can we show and prove that our strength is not diminishing? If so, WE WILL WIN.
• For me, June 15 is crucial. When we continue our struggle with the same determination and decisiveness. I am confident that thousands of our allies will be among us.
• At 19:30, I will be in the Square with my family (only without my son, as he and many of our comrades are physically behind bars). Many of our friends are watching us from behind bars. I periodically visit many of them without a word, and we do. They give us spirit. We must stand in their place on June 14 and the following days, until they join us or we celebrate our collective victory.
• Finally, the rhetorical and persistent question: until when? My answer is brief - under our perseverance and unity, whenever we decide the day and everyone is there, we will take to the streets. We can do that. We just need to DECIDE.
• For that, indeed, after June 14, we need to start a new strategy. New recruitment for the resistance - street by street, house by house, family by family, village by village, region by region. In these weeks of perseverance, we have proven: we can!
• Therefore, on June 14, at 19:30, being at France Square, let us prepare for it to be narrow for us, we must make Armenia larger, one whole square, and continue the struggle on June 15. We will meet at 19:30, in the same place, then march, spreading throughout the country thereafter.
