Use of the Term 'Whining Judge' Could Have Been Avoided, But It Doesn’t Mean Such Judges Don’t Exist, Says MP

Black and white is not a successful expression, but prior to the 2018 revolution, society was already divided between the privileged and the disenfranchised. This was stated today, June 13, by Vigen Khachatryan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling My Step Alliance, during a conversation with journalists regarding the comment that it was this government that spoke of black and white, and it was the Prime Minister who divided judges into whining and non-whining.

“I think all these expressions could have been avoided, but I don't believe that is the main reason. Black and white is not a successful expression, but prior to the 2018 revolution, society was divided between the privileged and the disenfranchised. You knew who made all the decisions in Syunik, who made all the decisions in Arshaluys, in Malta. Everything was divided. Or let’s say, whose bodyguard could decide everything. If society wasn’t divided, there wouldn’t have been a revolution. Apparently, this division was not correctly expressed as black and white. Society was divided before the revolution, and we are doing everything to eliminate these dividing lines, but those who divide want to divide again,” said the MP.

“Regarding the expression 'whining judge,' you probably see better than I do how judges conduct themselves. We have numerous judges who, in my opinion, should not be judges because these people are not accustomed to administering justice; they are used to following orders. Today, a significant portion of judges remain executors for those who enabled them to become judges. If this phenomenon exists, yes, a person may choose not to say 'whining judge,' but not saying it doesn't mean that such judges do not exist,” the MP declared.
