US President Joe Biden stated that Americans are paying a "Putin tax" on food and gasoline, according to Ura.ru. "We have never seen anything like the 'Putin tax' affecting food and gas directly," Biden said during a speech in Los Angeles.

Moreover, Biden connected the record inflation in the US to "Putin's price increase." According to US authorities, May 2022 saw the highest inflation in 40 years.

"Putin's price hikes hit hard in May here and around the world," said the President of the United States.
