Video: Shot at with a firearm, Davoyan retaliated by stabbing his assailant while injured, Investigative Committee says about the murder in Tashir

On the night of June 7, the "Tashir" medical center reported that an individual, 28-year-old Smbat Davoyan, a participant of the 44-day war and a resident of Novoselcov village in the Lori region, was admitted with a gunshot wound.

Later, 25-year-old Boris V. from Tashir city arrived at the "Stepanavan" medical center with stab wounds.

Operational groups from the Tashir police department were dispatched to the medical institutions. Operational and investigative measures were carried out. Preliminary data obtained confirmed that both individuals sustained their injuries at the same location. Law enforcement officials went to the Forest Street in Tashir, where the incident had occurred in a nearby forest.

According to initial data obtained during the investigation, the two had an argument, during which Boris V. shot Smbat Davoyan with an undisclosed firearm. While injured, Davoyan retaliated by stabbing Boris V.

The young man with the gunshot wound died in the hospital hours after being transported. As part of the criminal case initiated, Boris V., who was in the hospital, has been arrested. Expert examinations have been appointed.

Operational and investigative measures are underway to clarify all circumstances of the incident, including prior events. Measures are also being taken to recover the firearm used in the crime.

It is noteworthy that earlier Aravot.am reported that Davoyan had no involvement in the incident and was an accidental victim.
