The Government Put the Building of the Public Relations and Information Center Up for Sale
The state has put the building of the Public Relations and Information Center up for sale, located at 23 Orbeli Street, Yerevan. The property is registered with the State Property Management Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia.
State-owned buildings and the respective plots of land allocated for their use and maintenance will be sold through a competition at 80 percent of their assessed value. It is noteworthy that the government of the Republic of Armenia had previously offered the property for sale at 100 percent of its assessed value in a decision dated July 30, 2020, but the auction did not take place due to a lack of applications.
“Considering that currently only the Public Relations and Information Center is operating at this address, the project stipulates that in case of the property’s sale, the organization will occupy the premises for an additional six months, creating an opportunity for the organization to secure new premises,” the government’s project states.
The proposed property for sale was transferred to the State Property Management Committee in 2013. It is a former military hospital building with the corresponding plot of land allocated for use and maintenance.
According to the project, buyers can pay for the property in a single installment or over a period of 5 years, which will allow for a broader range of participants in the property sale.
