Lavrov Assessing the Prospects of a Meeting Between Putin and Zelensky

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that it is necessary to resume the work of the Russian and Ukrainian negotiating teams, emphasizing that the ball is in Kyiv's court in this context when commenting on the prospects of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Zelensky wants a meeting for the sake of a meeting. We proceed from the position that it is necessary for the negotiating teams to resume their work; the ball is almost in the Ukrainians' court,” Lavrov told reporters after talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
