Zatuliny Meets with Artsakh President and All Former Leaders of the Republic
Deputy of the State Duma, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs and Relations with Compatriots Konstantin Zatulin met in Armenia with the President of Artsakh and all former leaders of the Republic.
According to a report on the deputy's Telegram channel, he was in Armenia from June 1-4. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize himself with the current socio-political situation and the process of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as to develop connections with Russian compatriots.
"Konstantin Zatulin met with all former presidents of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, including the first president of the Republic Robert Kocharian (President of Armenia from 1998-2008), Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, as well as the current president of the Republic Araik Arutyunyan," the statement said.
The deputy also spoke with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, Major General Andrey Volkov, and the head of the Russian community in Nagorno-Karabakh, Alexander Bordov.
Additionally, Zatulin's meeting with the Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin took place at the Russian embassy in Yerevan on June 4. It was noted that during numerous meetings with friends and colleagues, the next session of the Lazaryan Club in Armenia and the prospects for the activities of the Armenian branch of the CIS Institute have been clarified.
