Putin Discusses Consequences of Supplying Long-Range Missiles to Ukraine
Russia will draw conclusions regarding the supply of American long-range missiles to Ukraine. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
The head of state noted that the delivery of American MLRS to Kyiv is related to replenishing the losses of Ukrainian military equipment. At the same time, Russia is aware that missiles with a range of 45-70 kilometers are expected to be supplied.
“Yes, but if they are supplied and delivered, we will make corresponding conclusions from this and will use our weapons, which are sufficient to strike the targets we have not yet hit,” Putin said.
Previously, the United States announced an agreement to supply Ukraine with HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems, on the condition that they would not be used to strike the territory of the Russian Federation. Volodymyr Zelensky publicly confirmed that Kyiv would comply with this requirement.
However, Ukrainian MP Yegor Chernev did not rule out the possibility of strikes on Russian territory using missiles supplied by the U.S. Commenting on Zelensky’s statements regarding the non-use of U.S. supplied weapons against Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia lacks confidence in the Ukrainian side, as Zelensky has not fulfilled any of his promises to resolve the conflict in Donbass peacefully.
